Apollo Kitchens continues their impressive record of industry leadership with their commitment to innovation, customised design, superb craftsmanship and outstanding installation service. It is no surprise that they are the company of choice for so many residential and commercial customers as well as top tier builders seeking kitchens, bathroom and other complimentary joinery in addition to bespoke amenities.
Based on their reputation and proven performance, Parkview Constructions chose Apollo Kitchens to supply and install joinery for common amenities as well as the kitchens and bathrooms for the prestigious Woolooware Bay Stage 3 development at 475A Captain Cook Drive, Woolooware. The development by Capital Bluestone, Woolooware Bay Town Centre is part of a new visionary waterfront community on one of the Sutherland Shire’s most prized bay front sites and includes the revitalisation of the area surrounding the Cronulla Sharks rugby league club and stadium. Stage 3, called ‘Crest’, is one of four buildings built on the site and features one, two and three bedroom options.
The design team worked closely with the builder and architects to achieve a consistent appearance and theme throughout each apartment.
“We manufactured, supplied and installed joinery for the 230-apartments, nine of which were townhouse styled dwellings with premium select finishes and additional joinery such as butler pantries,” said Group Managing Director and CEO of Apollo Kitchens, Peter Bader.
Kitchen doors and external panels were selected using timber grain in two colour schemes. The colours were matched with polyurethane finishes. The island benchtops were in engineered stone with bespoke herringbone feature panels and silver-backed mirrored splashbacks adding a sense of texture, drama and light. “The kitchen island under bench included a feature panel which presented an interesting challenge. However our state-of-the-art machinery easily managed this component. The panel was then painted in our automated polyurethane spray booth,” said Peter.
Apollo Kitchens also manufactured and installed bathroom joinery featuring complimentary textures and a neutral colour palette for a distinctly modern look. Vanities were finished with timber-grain cabinetry for a warm, textured effect and included silver mirrored shaving cabinets. The dual mirrors were designed to create a geometric form to allow for open shelving and maintain a chic look. Linen shelving, laundry storage and joinery for the studies in the apartments were also manufactured and installed.
Another component of the project was the joinery for the exclusive rooftop sanctuary, ‘Crest Club,’ a resort-style pool area including change rooms. In the adjoining dining and BBQ area, outdoor kitchen joinery was provided with upholstered timber inspired banquette seating. The project took Apollo Kitchens four months to complete in line with an intricate construction programme. Apollo Kitchens allocated three installation teams onsite with an experienced foreman to deliver this prestigious project.
The installation process went smoothly due to the excellent management of the site by the Parkview Constructions team. “It is always a great pleasure to work with a valued returning customer in Parkview and we look forward to working with the team again,” said Peter.
Woolooware Bay Stage 3 was another very successful project for Apollo Kitchens to add to their substantial portfolio of completed work. “A well designed and constructed kitchen adds value to any new development, whether it is in an individual residence or in a multi-level residential apartment building. Apollo Kitchens believes joinery decorates lifestyle and is the heart of the home and we put our heart and soul into ensuring all our clients experience great satisfaction and pleasure in our creations,” said Peter.
